I think I was too young for Jem, but I remember The L'il Bits. The best part about watching that intro on YouTube was that it led directly to a bunch of David the Gnome videos. Hooray, David the Gnome!

Wow. . .I'm pretty sure Mary Beth and I had this doll when we were kids.

I had a similar thing happen to me recently. I was browsing on Youtube, watching old cartoon intros to see just how many I could recall, and I came across one that I swore was a figment of my imagination. It was called "The L'il Bits" and my jaw must've hit the floor when I found it. It was crazy just how much of this cartoon I remembered once I started watching it.

I would suggest Gem next for you to look up, Em. It'll make you giggle!

Or more likely, she'd get them to understand the power of friendship, and then she and they would kick Hordak in the nuts.

Me dear Emilio I remember She-Ra! I even remember her name flying out at me in shiny animated letters! I always liked her headdress. And I must say that I really like this website you've got going on... it's like having a stuffed-shirt conversation with you from afar (I miss those conversations a lot).

And if you wanna see some dudes from Brooklyn have a similar experience with pokemon:

I know. What is it about being a kid that makes certain things wonderful that you'd never like as an adult? But I have to admit I'm getting a lot of ridiculous glee out of watching She-Ra again.

Thanks for commenting Haa-yaa!

Omigod, could it be real? The bowling ball! And the mind control! I think at one point she and her friends all fall down this chute into a dungeon...and they all slowly begin to succumb and turn evil themselves...I could swear it's a real thing! It's a question I've been asking myself for years. And the roller skates you mention are ringing bells for me...

And by the way, Xena is unquestionably the most kick-ass of female fantasy heroines. But I have to give She-Ra her due, as from what I've heard she was one of the inspirations for the character.

This happens to me when I'm re-reading books I used to love. The writing is just painful, but the characters and plot are awesome (or maybe I just think so after re-reading so many times that I've rewritten them in my brain into something epic when actually they're just animorphs or VC Andrews). Also this happens when I try to eat a food that I have nostalgia about, like say spaghetti-os, and they taste just like I remember except they make me sick now.

Hi Emmy,
I was to young to remember this thing, but the weird Alice and Wonderland rip-off is ringing some very loud bells. Was that the show where Alice went around on roller skates? This feminine cartoon figure reminds me why I liked Xena. . .
