The wonderful thing about that song is that there seems to be something in it to touch everyone, as each car exhibits a different sense of what it means to be "Worthless," or how people can take many different paths all to arrive at the same place of destruction. Why? The ethics textbook in my brain says that at least the reservation truck exhibits autonomy and his outrage at being rendered valueless stems from his inherent pride and self-esteem (much like the outrage of Native Americans everywhere), while the pink car is a helpless victim of pure despair and goes to her death understanding nothing of why she was ever put on this Earth to begin with.
